Embrace the Sacredness of Devuthani Ekadashi

Devuthani Ekadashi, also known as Prabodhini Ekadashi, is a significant Hindu festival that celebrates the awakening of Lord Vishnu from his cosmic sleep. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu goes into a deep slumber during the four-month period of Chaturmas, which begins on Devshayani Ekadashi in the month of Ashadha (June-July) and ends on Devuthani Ekadashi in Kartik (October-November). This day symbolizes the end of Chaturmas, a period traditionally marked by fasting, spiritual practices, and refraining from auspicious ceremonies.

Significance of Devuthani Ekadashi

On this day people can offer fasting and prayers asking the Lord for spiritual strengthening and washing away sins. People come to sing bhajan and kirtan which is praise the Lord Vishnu in their own style. As Chaturmas comes to an end, Devuthani Ekadashi turns into one of the beginning and happy families, celebrating divine love and obligations. People get nearer to their religion, turning their lives into a hope, bless, and cause of joy, and togetherness.
