The Evolution of Goddess Saraswati on Vasant Panchami
The people of Bharat were getting ready for Vasant Panchami, a celebration of knowledge, creativity, and spring! But Lord Brahma observed that there was a redound silence in spite of life around! This was because there was no music art and education around. To resolve this situation, Lord Brahma created Goddess Saraswati, who is known for her wisdom, music, and education!
Goddess Saraswati Presence on Earth
On this day of Vasant Pachamai, Goddess Saraswati came down on Earth wearing white clothes and carrying her veena. She played the veena, and that filled the air with rhythm and melodies that inspired all of the natural life around!
To honour Goddess Saraswati, people wore yellow clothes, decorated their homes with flowers, and prayed for wisdom. This way, Vasant Panchami evolved into a festival, a time when gods send love, knowledge, and wealth to people on Earth during springtime.
The Blessing of Lord Vishnu
Lord Vishnu saw that the land on Earth with living beings had come to life with the presence of Goddess Saraswati to bless the land further and sent Goddess Laksami to bring prosperity to the land during spring.
During all this time, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati saw that their son, Lord Kamadeva, tried to bring love to the world, and so he infused the land with happiness and joy with his sugarcane bow and floral arrows.
